Lightform have recently supplied a range of bespoke luminaires for the stunning new wing at Kiddeminster DTC Hospital.

The luminaires were designed in conjunction with Maap Architects and Consulting Engineers, Richard Stevens Partnership A family of fittings were developed by Sachin Chauhan + Jeremy Jones of Lightform that included semi-recessed luminaires for the corridor and wall-mounted luminaires for the atrium space

Each fitting housed two 18 watt compact florescent lamps.

3Although boxes can be quite strikingly good looking in their own right, it was felt that a certain amount of detailing would add interest.

Slot details were incorporated on all side faces, creating a structural depth to the box giving it character and an Oarchitectural feel1ý The slotted element allowed a four piece fabricated construction of the sides, with the joining not obvious, showing a clean segmented appearance.

Various luminaire versions throughout the architecture meant that a family appearance linked this part of the lighting element together.

Installed, the luminaires have a distinct feel and provide a consistent aesthetic throughout the building.
