Martell Lighting has been chosen, along with Western Electrical Plymouth, to supply, install and commission a new AC central battery emergency lighting system at Plymouths prestigious Theatre Royal.
The solution was supplied by Martyn Whittaker from the Fitzgerald Lighting Group, and included a combination of batten luminaries, Occhio Tracklights and a wire free lighting control system from the Exodus product range.
The batten fittings were installed behind prismatic diffuser sheets, creating a skylight effect, whilst the main body of the room utilized the Occhio spotlights installed on a three circuit track.
Every luminaire is supplied with digital dimming, allowing the curators to adjust light levels as and when the displays are changed, creating a flexible, efficient solution to lighting these national treasures.
