Finnforest has launched Finncolour, a pre-painted secret-fix timber exterior cladding system.

Designed to blend the beauty and sustainability of natural wood with the attractiveness of modern colours, Finncolour enables professional builders to achieve a quick but long-lasting facade for any new or existing building Finncolour provides the ideal way to bring individuality to any new development, or to refresh a tired house or outbuilding with a vibrant new external facia

It is available in six colours that reflect the trend for New England styling and coastal designs.

The cladding uses a secret-fix profile, and can be installed in any format to create a directional aesthetic on the wall of the building; vertically or horizontally, allowing greater design flexibility according to the customer's taste.

Finncolour is supplied pre-painted and ready to install - removing the need for onsite treatment and time-consuming painting.

Simple to install, the fixing point on each board is easily identifiable during installation, due to the "V" shaped groove on the upper face of each board.

Relief grooves on the reverse of the panels also minimise distortion once the timber is in place.

A supply of matching paints are available to finish the exterior and interior corner trims, which are provided with a preservative white base coat, allowing either matching or contrasting trims to be used and ensuring a slick and professional finish.

PEFC certified timber is treated with a preservative base coat during the manufacture of Finncolour, and then two layers of water based acrylic paint are applied to it.

This process ensures the cladding is durable, and suitable for Use Class 3 situations.

The paint is applied at 350g/m2, and is guaranteed for ten years against flaking, cracking and blistering.
