Fibox extends its Euronord range of enclosures
New Euronord range offers Installers and Process Control Engineers, an exceptional variety of solutions for housing a multitude of DIN rail mounted terminal blocks, switches and devices.
Being able to turn off lights separately is a critical factor for both essential maintenance and safe operation of the units.
As well as being incredibly robust, the Fibox EK enclosure range is IP67 rated and comes with an enormous range of accessories and fittings - covers, hinges, internal mountings, DIN rails, glands and cable entry systems, and because they are constructed from polycarbonate they are also entirely rustproof, and maintenance free.
Fibox EK TH enclosures were selected to form the basis of these individual termination boxes, which house automatic cut out devices, and double pole MCBs, which are connected to every light on the gantry.
H Woodbine, working on behalf of the main contractor CAMBBA (The Carillon, Alfred McAlpine, Belfour Beatty and Amec Consortium) also used Fibox EK UH enclosures to house the electronics and electrical components required to control each of the 36 individual gantries, lighting functions.
Now after being installed for almost 3 years; operating in rain, frost, snow and sometimes blistering sunshine, these enclosures have proved completely reliable and demonstrated during each routine inspection period to be totally maintenance free, making the Fibox EK range ideal for trackside, motorway or gantry mounted electrical equipment, where service access is restricted during heavy traffic periods.
