FKRS was founded by Francis Keenan in 1979.
The company's first premises were a caravan in Levenshulme, Manchester and staff consisted of Francis and his wife Patricia.
Despite having grown into a hugely successful company with 30 staff members and an annual turnover of GBP23 million FKRS has never moved from the town where it all began.
Today FKRS provides total external envelope solutions and is committed to training, safety and the motivation of its staff.
Over the 24 years that the company has existed FKRS has built up close working relationships with the crandegrave;me de la crandegrave;me of the construction world with brands such as Hunter Douglas, Kalzip, Kingspan, Brett Martin and Euroclad forming their supply chain.
The innovative firm made the bold step two years ago to cut back its order book - and consequently turnover - by a third so as to offer a better service to clients.
However with 90% repeat business from the likes of Asda, Astrazeneca and Bovis Lend Lease and the continued ability to pay suppliers within 30 days FKRS has proved it is a strategy that has paid off.
2007 sees FKRS take on a number of exciting projects including a frame work agreement with Manchester City Council on the 'Building Schools for the Future' campaign and will no doubt bring further awards as this company continues to satisfy clients and exceed industry expectations.
