Isocrete launches new acoustic screed
combo
Flowcrete UK has launched a new acoustic flooring solution designed to take the strain out of compliance with Approved Document E for house builders.
Isocrete Acoustic K combines noise-reduction efficiency with the proven performance of Isocrete screeds, which have been used in house building projects across the UK for 40 years It comes in a 'one-stop shop' format, where the acoustic resilient layer and screed is installed as a complete system on site by just one trained applicator

Almost 14,000 square metres of resin flooring from Flowcrete have been installed at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
Acoustic K can also be used in conjunction with Flowcrete's Isowarm underfloor heating system to produce a quiet, warm environment without the need for radiators.
Applied by specialist contractors under the new Isocrete Acoustic K licence from Flowcrete, Acoustic K complies with Building Regulations, offers a weight-saving reduced screed thickness and enables an early installation of sensitive finishes, such as carpet, vinyl or tiles, over the substrate.
It is also approved by the British Board of Agrement.
Alan Dean, Sales Director of Flowcrete, said: "Isocrete Acoustic K is a complete system, not just components, and is being brought into the market with an emphasis on a quality installation".
Test results from independent sources show it achieved results well in excess of the requirements set out by Approved Document E, of the Building Regulations 2003.
"The system will deliver peace of mind for house builders in that they can achieve a high acoustic performance, with just one contractor responsible for the entire procedure.".
