With temperature measurement capabilities and weighing only 700 grams - 50% less than any other thermal imaging camera - the ThermaCAM E2 fits easily into the palm of the hand or on a tool belt.
An Introduction To Thermography
The quick and easy way to detect heat loss.
As a result more and more infrared cameras are being sold to those involved in implementing the latest legislation.
Experienced thermographers in this field stress the importance of training.
Practitioners require a thorough understanding of building materials, structures and their physics as a basis for interpreting thermographic findings.
In its Building Science Thermography Training course FLIR Systems provides this foundation and overlays it with instruction on infrared principles, the practical application thermal imaging cameras and thermographic standards in buildings.
A pilot course was staged in autumn this year and the take-up was such that four further dedicated building science courses have just been confirmed for 2007.
In addition to basic camera set-up, operation and reporting, the course examines the effects of air speed, moisture and noise.
There will also be blower door available for delegates to gain practical experience in air tightness testing.
Designed primarily for thermographers new to the building sector or those already practicing in the building environment but needing a good scientific overview, the course costs GBP700 per delegate and occupies 2.5 days.
All four courses for 2007 will be held at FLIR Systems Infrared Training Centre in West Malling, Kent.
Courses are now confirmed for:.
Wednesday 28th February to Friday 2nd March 2007.
