Latest infrared cameras from FLIR
Systems

First public appearance of new range. Interbuild 2007 will be the first building trades show in the world to feature the latest generation of infrared cameras from Flir Systems.

The brand new ThermaCAM B-Series allows the sensitive thermal mapping of structures and architectural features enabling detailed diagnosis of problems They provide immediate, high-resolution documentation of as-built or post-restoration quality, post-casualty cause and origin data, plumbing and building envelope water leakage, water-damaged material assessment, energy efficiency, roofing and even rodent or pest discovery

The extension of the ThermaCAM B-Series is a significant development in the field of thermal imaging.

These new cameras are smaller and lighter than previous models yet pack a host of features that provide every facility that an advanced and frequent user of infrared could ever wish for.

In addition to these mid-range newcomers the FLIR Systems' stand will also underline the breadth of choice available from the company.

As the visitor will see, it is now able to supply an infrared camera to suit every budget and every application, from occasional troubleshooting to professional thermography.

The new ThermaCAM B-Series cameras are easy to use and provide excellent 320 x 240 pixel resolution.

They have superb visualization tools, text, voice and sketch annotation and manual or autofocus.

They are naturally designed for easy data analysis and report generation.

Images are displayed on a large 3.5 inch touch screen and a stylus provides comfortable fingertip control; on several models the infrared lens can also be tilted through 120deg.

As these have been designed for those involved in building, construction and energy conservation the ThermaCAM B-Series incorporate the application specific functions developed for this sector.

As well as a dew point alarm that detects areas at risk from condensation, models have a relative humidity alarm that indicates a site of potential mould build-up.

By changing the relative humidity setting the operator can see, directly in the field and on a clear infrared image, the parts of the building that are most susceptible.

ThermaCAM B-Series models also allow the operator to determine immediately whether or not a building is well insulated.

All that is required is for a temperature measurement of the outside face of a wall to be taken and a critical surface temperature factor applied.

When the temperature is then taken of the inside face of the same wall the software will calculate which areas are inadequately insulated and highlight them in an 'alarm' colour on the infrared image.

The integration of thermal and visual imaging has been perfected in these new ThermaCAM B-Series models.

The cameras also introduce Thermal Fusion for the seamless transition of images from thermal to visual and vice versa, on the screen, whilst retaining all measurement functions in both viewing modes.

All of the new models are compatible with the latest ThermaCAM Reporter 8.2 software, a wizard-based reporting suite with advanced image processing and temperature calculation functions.
