Floors-2-Go has expanded its business with the launch of a new contract division, focused on the needs of house builders, contractors, architects and specifiers.

Floors-2-Go, Britain's biggest retailer of real wood and laminate flooring, has expanded its business with the launch of a new contract division, which will focus on servicing the needs of a growing customer base of house builders, contractors, architects and specifiers The specialist flooring supplier, which currently operates 128 retail flooring outlets around the UK, appointed ex Courts regional director and Maples, Waring and Gillow contract manager, Andy Acton, last month to set up and manage the new division

In his new role as commercial flooring director, Acton will be responsible for developing and improving the company's national contract operation, which currently offers a full specification, supply, delivery and fitting service.

Floors-2-Go is able to offer contract customers the choice of hundreds of designs from its newly extended range of real wood and laminate products - the biggest of its kind currently available in the UK.

The range includes many staple favourites, such as Oak, Walnut and Merbau, as well as more unusual species such as Olive, Acacia and Sheasham.

And because of the company's bulk buying power, customers can also benefit from consistently low prices across all product ranges.

To coincide with the launch of the new contract operation, Floors-2-Go has invested in a new warehousing facility to greatly improve stock capacity, picking and delivery.

The new 130,000sq.ft warehouse is based in the West Midlands, from where deliveries can be made nationally to contract customers, usually within a 48-hour timeframe.
