Floors-2-Go, the UK's leading laminate and real wood retailer, is calling on flooring contractors to help them establish a network of approved fitters across the country The new scheme will provide Floors-2-Go customers with a professional, fast and efficient fitting service which they can opt for in-store when they purchase any of the company's real wood product ranges

Floors-2-Go will then arrange the fitting service on behalf of the customer.

It is hoped that this scheme will protect customers against rogue tradesmen and unsatisfactory installations.

"There has been a lot of publicity about cowboy plumbers and builders, with many TV programmes actively seeking to expose rogue tradesmen," explained Simon Farnsworth, chief executive at Floors-2-Go.

By setting up approved lists these sectors have effectively removed 'cowboys' from the equation.

By offering our customers the option of using an approved fitter we also hope to do this, whilst at the same time improve our service offering.

When a customer is spending a lot of money on real wood flooring it is important that the product is laid properly so that they are entirely satisfied with their purchase and this will only be achieved if they use professional and experienced floor fitters.

Any flooring contractors who would like to be a part of our new scheme should get in touch with us immediately".

Flooring contractors will have to undergo a series of training and tests before their details can be added to the approved list to ensure that they meet the required standard.

They will then be continuously assessed and monitored to ensure that these standards are maintained.

The scheme, which has already been piloted in 25 stores across the Midlands, will be rolled out across the country over the next 12 months.
