HansenGroup Health and Safety Manager, Mark Mallen, recognises the culture of risk assessment as the key ingredient of the winner's success.
This has become embedded in everything the company does - from manufacturing and installation, and throughout its administrative systems.
As a result, safety statistics submitted as part of the Gold Award entry showed an impressive history of over the past four years.
FendorHansen is the first HansenGroup company to win a RoSPA Award, but Mark Mallen sees this year's entry as providing something of a template - as well as an incentive - for other Group companies to follow.
"Overall, as a group we have an impressive Health and Safety record," said Mark Mallen, "but other operating company scheme's will certainly benefit from what has been achieved at FendorHansen.
"In addition to the attention paid to risk assessment, I think the involvement of everyone within FendorHansen is the major contributing factor in achieving this award." FendorHansen's General Manager, Chris Duffy, accepted the Gold Award at RoSPA's annual presentation ceremony in May at the Metropole Hotel at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre.
FendorHansen is accredited to ISO 9001: quality assurance for design, manufacture and installation of its advanced, solution-led product range.
The company works with its clients from concept to completion.
