Overall Winner - Tamsin Mae, Freelance Designer.

"This design really captured the contemporary fragmented 'shards of glass' feel that is currently key across many different design sectors, especially architecture".

"Also, the contrast between the colours and the design style used cleverly creates a juxtaposing relationship between the natural and the high tech, which complements yet jarrs simultaneously." Contemporary Winner - Samuel Wingate, Wallpaper Designer.

"Offering an interesting 3D effect that also seems to reflect light, this design works on many levels; as a pattern from afar and with interesting building detail up close".

Retro Winner - Peter Scholey, Photographer / Illustrator.

"With its Bauhaus and Annie Albers feel we particularly liked the intelligent use of layering which gave the basic repeated element a fresh look with added depth".

"This design has a classic yet chic feel".

Street Culture Winner - Kim Culpan, Student, Bishop Burton College".

"We were particularly drawn to the sense of movement this design portrayed, recreating the feel of a city on a rainy day with its chalky yet slightly blurry colours".

Organic Winner - Lee Jay Robertson, Student, The Arts Institute".

"Creating a sense of fragility, this design also has that fragmented quality".

"We particularly liked how it is suggestive of different natural elements while not clearly being definable as one in particular".
