Homeowners harvest rain and flood water
Hanson Formpave install its industry-leading Aquaflow rainwater harvesting system and Aquapave block into domestic driveway, dramatically reducing their water bills.
Significant cost savings can also be realised as it is less expensive to purchase than natural granite, and as it does not need to be laid on mortar, ease of laying is a key advantage.
The granite used in the EcoGranite range is a by-product of Cornish China Clay, known as stent, and is an environmental alternative to freshly quarried granite.
Another by-product also used in Formpave's unique mix, is from the South Wales steel industry, ground granulated blast furnace slag, resulting in a more environmentally aware alternative to traditional granite.

Commenting on Formpave's new range, Steve Spikes, development director, said, "We are delighted to be launching our new EcoGranite range at Ecobuild".
"Manufactured from crushed granite and grit-stone, the new range has unique, sparkling, textured surface finish giving excellent slip-skid resistance, which has proven very popular with architects, builders and specifiers".
The Formpave EcoGranite range consists of cobbles, setts, long-setts and paving, and is available in two colour ranges: the Cornish Range and the Royal Deeside Range.
The Cornish Range of colours is based on the natural granites of Cornwall and includes Natural Cornish, a sparkling white granite with black flecks; Tintagel, a light yellow granite; and Truro, a natural and charcoal brindle granite.
The Royal Deeside Range of colours include Balmoral, a black granite with white flecks, Braemar, a red granite with black and white flecks; Victoria, a white and yellow brindle granite; and Lochnagar, a red and charcoal brindle granite.
The colours offered within the Royal Deeside Range present refreshing alternatives to the frequently used natural granite products.
Available with a 60mm or 80mm depth, the range can be laid to produce bespoke designs from traditional coursing to more adventurous and unusual patterns such as circles and flanders fans.
