A Cut Above the Rest.
Available in mixed colour and single colour blue the natural patterns and colours of Royal Forest Pennant stone are unique to stone quarried in the Forest of Dean.
Royal Forest Pennant natural stone is quarried and sawn in the Forest of Dean and is the only British source of sawn Pennant.
The traditional plug and feather method of extraction is used to reduce the risk of fracture.
The stone is available in standard gauge widths and is typically supplied in a 50mm thickness but other sizes and thicknesses are available.
Kerbs, ancillaries and walling stone are also available.
The company has a capacity of 500 sq/m of paving per week, and is able to quickly accommodate large orders.
Royal Forest Pennant stone products benefit from excellent dimensional tolerances, along with a naturally hard-wearing surface and good slip skid resistance.
However, the paving can also be supplied with a shot-blasted finish, providing even higher levels of slip skid resistance and a different surface texture.
Recent tests on shot-blasted Pennant paving has shown unpolished skid resistance values in excess of 98.
