A The Glass Wall Company product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Feb 17, 2010

A recent Wintech test report confirms that Chromatics is classified as a 1B1 product, available from The Glass Wall Company.

Chromatics met the requirements of BS EN 12600 by fully passing the pendulum impact test for single flat panes of glass for use in buildings.

1B1 is another performance standard achieved by this product, made possible by the resilient qualities it acquires by bonding together, at a molecular level, float glass, colour layer and metal, transforming them into a laminate that, when fractured after repeated impact, remains safely intact.

A full breakdown of the various current standards and reports relating to Chromatics performance can be found on The Glass Wall Company website under the Rigorously Tested section.

During the Wintech test it was possible for the rig operatives to simply remove the single pane in its entirety, despite the severity of the impact.
