Fyfestone, an Aggregate Industries business has built on its UK-wide reputation with the confirmation of a GBP 140,000 contract in Luton Fyfestone, which manufactures reconstituted masonry products made from Aberdeen granite and Cotswold aggregates, is working with London-based JSA Opus Architecture and contractor Marriott Construction on the industrial units at Dencora Way, Luton, for owner Premier Computers

The four units comprise offices and warehousing, and comprise 6,700 sq m of Fyfestone products.

Products being used are Fyfestone Silver Classic Textured and Premier Fairface, plus several bespoke items, such as quoin blocks and lintels.

The development is also using Masterblock concrete blocks.

Regional specification manager for the south-east of England Andy Rich said: "This has been an interesting project for us as there were several complex technical issues to overcome, not least working with health and safety regulations".

"Fyfestone is a nationwide brand of masonry products whose current range offers the designer a wide selection of profiles and finishes for structural building and civil engineering projects where a high quality and aesthetically pleasing choice of materials is required.

"In this particular case, Fyfestone was chosen for the colour and texture of products - plus competitive pricing".

The Fyfestone range is regularly specified for use on a wide range of projects, including sports and leisure centres, supermarkets, schools and colleges, sea defence and flood protection schemes, retail parks, conservation projects and hospitals, as well as executive housing.
