Slimline shutters protect Silwood Community Centre

A Charter Specialist Security product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team May 6, 2009

Charter-Integr8 security shutters have been installed at the new Silwood Community Centre, London.

Part of a regeneration development including 5,000 new homes, the centre includes an office and computer suites as well as a play area and meeting rooms.

Concealed behind lead cladding, the slimline shutters were specified to protect the property against burglary and vandalism, without detracting from the building's design.

Security was an important concern throughout the build and the residential accommodation was built to Secured By Design standards.

Leading shutter manufacturer Charter Specialist Security supported architectural practice bptw partnership throughout the design process with expert advice, samples and AutoCAD details.

For more details on the Charter-Integr8 range of security shutters for health, education, community and prestige residential developments, call 0845 0508705 or visit the website.
