A Charter Specialist Security product story

An IT suite at Sheffield's Notre Dame High School is protected by the Charter-Integr8 180V security shutters, which close by rising up from the ground.

David Ham, sales manager for Charter Specialist Security, which manufactures and installs the shutters, commented: "These are the only vertically rising shutters available in the UK and truly have to be seen to be believed".

"The lintel is hidden beneath a decked walkway, and just like the rest of our range, when the shutters are open they are totally concealed, with no visual impact on the building".

The mint green shutters exactly match the building's painted facade and complementing its timber structure.

Notre Dame is an active participant in the 'Generation Green' scheme, to bring schools and families together to create a greener future, so environmental sustainability was high on the agenda.

Charter's aluminium shutters, manufactured in the UK and guaranteed for 10 years, were in line with the low-carbon objectives of the project.
