Floorcovering ideal for publisher's
corridors

Gerflor provided the ideal solution for a new floorcovering for the second floor corridors of Northcliffe Electronic Publishing in Derby.

When Northcliffe Electronic Publishing in Derby required a new floorcovering for its second floor corridors, Gerflor provided the ideal solution The corridors led from the kitchen areas and, for health and safety reasons, certain materials had to be discounted

"What the company required was a vinyl floorcovering that would be functional and present a visual appeal in keeping with the rest of the building's decor," comments Gordy Smith of Vision Business Interiors who specified and installed the flooring.

The solution was a Light Oak option from Gerflor's Creation Wood collection.

This synthetic floor covering comprises a 0.7mm transparent wear layer for durability, a design film and a compact underlayer.

Compressed and grained at high pressure for optimum strength, a polyurethane protective surface treatment facilitates cleaning and maintenance, eliminating the need for initial polishes.

"Practically, the Creation Wood option fits the purpose as any spillages from staff visiting the kitchen are easy to remove and will not stain the surface," continues Mr Smith.

"From an aesthetic viewpoint, the floorcovering perfectly complements the rest of the interior." The Creation Wood range was developed by Gerflor to replicate the subtleties of different species of wood.

Offering an excellent walk surface and sound insulation, the product is available in 23 colourways. Request a free brochure from Gerflor ...
