Gerflor adds interlocking tile to fast-track range

A Gerflor product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jul 9, 2010

Gerflor introduces the Attraction range of interlocking heavy-duty PVC tiles to its existing range of superior fast-track flooring systems.

The Attraction range is robust, technically superb, good looking and designed for interesting installations in industries such as retail, sport, healthcare, commerce, education and housing.

Attraction offers fast, simple installation, even on new, existing or problem floors, as well as limitless design possibilities.

The Attraction loose lay floor tile range has a dovetail joint, making the tiles quick to install or replace, saving downtime and cost while creating an all-but-invisible seam.

For architects and designers, the combination of the loose lay format with an extensive colour palette makes the tiles suitable for area zoning.

The tiles are available in an extensive palette of 20 contemporary and natural colourways with an embedded, flecked design and designed to be warm and comfortable underfoot.

The tiles are semi-flexible and environmentally-sustainable with a 4mm recycled backing and a 1mm pure PVC coloured wear layer.

The low-maintenance tiles benefit from Sanosol fungicidal and antibacterial treatment and are especially suited to heavy traffic situations where minimal disruption to operational areas during installation is a prerequisite.

The Attraction tiles are suitable for problem or damp subfloors as only limited subfloor preparation is required and there is no need for adhesives, welding or grouting.

The tiles are anti-static (<2 kV), meeting the requirements for use in computer rooms.

Easy maintenance results from a UV cured polyurethane (PUR) treatment applied to the surface.

Depending on the maintenance regime and traffic levels, this reduces the need for acrylic emulsion (polish).

Also in the family of fast-track solutions is GTI for more industrial applications.

GTI is a 6mm thick multi-layered tile formed of three separate homogenous layers.

The tile is reinforced with two glass fibre grids on either side of an intermediate layer while both its backing and its R10 slip resistant diamond studded surface are each 2mm thick.

It is in abrasion group T (K5 wear rating) and is resistant to industrial traffic including forklift trucks.

The tiles are available in seven plain colours plus four polychrome GTI AS Decor colourways while six standard logos tiles allow floor signalling.

Bevel edged GTI Corner and Access tiles ensure an easy transition from other surfaces.
