Tulsa Airport Authority selected the team of Gensler and Atkins Benham to provide architectural design services for the development of the passenger terminal.
In a unanimous vote, the trustees of Tulsa Airport Authority selected the team of Gensler Architecture, Design and Planning Worldwide and Atkins Benham to provide architectural design services for the development of the passenger terminal at Tulsa International Airport The Gensler team comprises architects from the firm's Denver and Los Angeles offices; the Atkins Benham firm is located in Tulsa

"The focus is on passenger ease, trying to minimize the difficulties for passengers in moving through the airport".
"And I really liked the Great Hall configuration".
"It could be a meeting place by raising the roof, removing the rental cars and making it a place to congregate".
"It's something that could be used by the community, and I liked that a lot." Airport Director Brent Kitchen said, "The architectural team will next develop plans and specifications for terminal security enhancements".
"The architects will work with the airport's Airline Technical Committee, airport staff and representatives of the Transportation Security Administration." Security requirements, which include a ban on parking within 300 feet of the terminal and mandated explosives scanning of all luggage, are evolving.
