T5 Watt-Miser is the cornerstone of GE's latest generation of high efficiency, high output, triphosphor coated tubes.

With over 68 million fluorescent tubes used commercially in the UK, reducing the energy consumption of fluorescent lighting is key if the Government is to achieve its pledge to cut carbon emissions by 20% by 2020 GE Lighting Limited has responded to this challenge by designing more efficient products, such as the T5 Watt-Miser

The range offers users the optimum in performance, light quality and energy reduction.

It has been specifically designed to meet the needs of commercial enterprises needing to cut energy consumption and reduce their carbon footprint.

This new range significantly decreases energy costs and CO2 emissions.

The environmentally responsible design of the Watt-Miser T5 range means the lamps use 5% less energy in comparison to standard T5 lamps but still offer the same lumen output performance.

This makes it the most efficient T5 product range on the market - with up to 110 lumens per watt lamp efficiency achieved.

Specifically the T5 Watt-Miser range can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 42kg per lamp and cut energy costs by up to GBP8 per lamp, over its lifetime.

Other benefits include a pay-back period which can be as short as four months.

The significant costs associated with replacing existing luminaires and lamps can be avoided with the T5 Watt-Miser as it can be retrofitted into original T5 fixtures, canceling out the need for expensive and labour intensive re-installations.

In addition to the T5 Watt-Miser, GE has developed lamps within the T5 range that aim to provide a wider choice of lighting solutions for building managers, whilst also meeting some of the specific requirements that may arise.
