GiveMePower Software helps new breed of consultant tackle soaring demand for digital floor plans and inspection drawings for 66 billion square foot capital facilities market.

By combining formerly separate roles of building surveyor and CAD operator into a single role using GiveMePower Corporation's PowerCAD SiteMaster mobile/wireless building surveying and asset mapping (BSAM) software, service consultants like DuPratt Precision Services of Chico, California are measuring, verifying and producing laser-precise, digital floor plans and building inspection drawings in less than half the time and half the cost of traditional methods These cost savings are being passed on to building owners, managers, re-construction companies and finance/insurance firms, who use the highly-detailed "as-built" digital drawings and Excel-compatible reports generated by SiteMaster to reduce costly re-construction/renovation errors caused by inaccurate or obsolete paper blueprints, and to enable far more effective communication of building changes and maintenance requirements to all stakeholders throughout the entire life cycle of a building

In addition, post 9/11, the requirement for building owners and operators to have current and accurate floor plans for emergency response and homeland security purposes continues to mount.

"The demand for service consultants that perform either function, let alone at the same time, is phenomenal," states Jake DuPratt, president of DuPratt Precision Services.

"There are billions upon billions of square feet of real estate that requires as-built floor plans to be digitally drawn or verified".

"There is so much work out there--it's like trying to eat the whole elephant by yourself".

According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology study NIST CGR 04-867, more than 66 billion square feet of capital facilities exist in the United States - including almost 4 million commercial/institutional buildings and industrial facilities.

This report, prepared for NIST by RTI International and the Logistic Management Institute, estimates the cost of inadequate interoperability in the U.S.

capital facilities industry to be $15.8 billion per year.

"We created SiteMaster specifically to reduce the considerable costs that building owners and managers have previously had to incur as a result of outdated as-built building information and ineffective communication of accurate information on changes that naturally occur over the 30-80 year life cycle that most commercial buildings are in service," states Bill Walton, president and CEO of GiveMePower.

"What used to be a time consuming, manual job involving up to 4 people in disparate locations, is now a simple process that 1 or 2 people can perform in real time, twice as fast and right on site before changes occur," states DuPratt.

"Unlike manual methods or other basic sketching systems, professionally finished AutoCAD-compatible results are created automatically using SiteMaster with no special skills required".

"Once done, results can be instantly emailed to clients or anyone else who needs the updated information".

"We need to empower people with tools like SiteMaster that are just plain easy to use, so that we can get the job done".

"We're trying to do it all, and we're just tired," summarizes DuPratt.

PowerCAD SiteMaster is part of GiveMePower's unique family of CAD Anywhere 2D and 3D design, viewing and mobile/wireless collaboration solutions - each designed to save time and money in the office, in the field or on the shop floor.

Other users benefiting from GiveMePower technologies include: ATandT, General Dynamics, Maytag, Payless ShoeSource, Penn State University, Praxair, the United States Postal Service and multiple branches of the U.S.Military.
