Launch of Vision 3000 windows from Glas Facades
With the launch of Vision 3000 windows from Glas Facades Limited, specifiers no longer have to compromise between natural light and thermal performance in a building.
New aluminium clad timber windows
Vision 3000 aluminium clad timber windows from Glas Facades limited are now available in a range of specifications, achieving Window Energy Ratings in bands A, B and C.
There are two types available.
The Vision 3000 UK version has a full face aluminium external section cladding that is ideal for new and existing traditional flush structural openings.
The Vision 3000 EU version has part aluminium and part insulation facing and is suitable for new and existing European style internal rebate check reveals.
The EU version provides an impressive, minimal sightline to heads and jambs of only 17mm.
The choice of quality timber products offers complete flexibility when it comes to internal design and the ability to match other internal building products, states Glas Facades.
The timber used is Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) certified.
PEFC is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, promoting sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification.
In addition to that, up to 70% of the aluminium used in the window system has been recycled.
With its inherent strength available from the precision engineered sections and timber types used, it is possible to have opening windows on a scale not generally available in the UK window market, e.g a single pane side hung open in casement measuring as much as 1,700mm wide x 2,000mm high with no increase in sightlines, nor special considerations necessary.
The only real requirement is to ensure a careful assessment of site handling procedures.
Vision 3000 has had all performance criteria tested to an exacting standard to conform to both UK and European markets.
With the gathering momentum for window energy rated (WER) windows, the system can be used to achieve British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) 'A', 'B' and 'C' ratings, depending on the type of IGU specified.
'A' rated Vision 3000 windows would be suitable components in carbon neutral, zero carbon, or PassivHaus projects.
(PassivHaus is a mainland European Standard for energy efficient building.) Glas Facades is a London based company formed by experienced specialist window suppliers.
