Condencyl HE is latest high performance cylinder from Gledhill Building Products designed especially for use with condensing boilers.
The 8 calorifiers, part of Gledhill's popular commercial cylinder range are providing plentiful hot water to the guests on the second, third and fourth floors, catering for approximately 165 of the 330 rooms within the exclusive resort.
Due to the scale of the application at Celtic Manor, capacity was a deciding factor in their choice.
Gledhill can offer capacities ranging from 320 to 1000 litres with cylinder individually made to order to accommodate connections and heat exchangers to suit individual requirements.
The Calorifiers installed at Celtic Manor have a 455 litre capacity and included thicker copper to accommodate the demanding 24 meter working head of pressure typical in a hotel of this size.
The Calorifiers can be supplied with 'FlexiLag' a factory fitted insulation comprising 40mm thick Rockwool encased in a blue leatherette type jacket, zipped for easy removal if required.
David Lugg, Engineer Manager, at Celtic Manor has been very impressed with the efficiency of the Gledhill units.
"Our previous units were prone to leaks and required frequent maintenance, the new Gledhill units are a fantastic improvement".
"Also thanks to their insulating jacket they are saving energy when compared to their predecessors.".
