Linx for decent homes
Linx has used some 800 Glidevale Premier In-Line ventilators to achieve low level ventilation across the roof in upgraded properties.
Glidevale is helping Linx Homes get ahead of Government requirements to provide social housing to Decent Homes Standard with a targeted upgrade programme of the Association's older properties Linx owns over 5000 properties throughout Lincolnshire, approximately 250 of which were built before modern thermal comfort requirements were introduced, and therefore have significantly less insulation in the roof (<=200mm) and are heated by electricity or solid fuel

Sunscoop tubular rooflights a sustainable solution
A number of the new apartments at Greenbank Village will feature Glidevale Sunscoop tubular rooflights as a sustainable solution to optimising natural daylight within the properties.
To bring those up to standard and improve their energy efficiency Linx has executed a schedule of increasing the loft insulation in the homes, and simultaneously adding roof ventilation.
To date, Linx has used some 800 Glidevale Premier In-Line ventilators to achieve low level ventilation across the roof in each of the upgraded properties.
Glidevale Premier In- Line ventilators provide ventilation of up to 10000mm 2 / vent into the roof space to avoid risk of condensation, whilst forming an integral part of the slate or tile roof covering.
They blend discreetly with the roof tile profile, giving a clean, consistent appearance to the roof.
Glidevale roof ventilators are the only ones on the market to be AA fire rated, enabling unrestricted use across the roof.
Concealed baffles catch any wind-driven rain or snow and return it via positive draining channels to the roof slope.
Integral hidden tail clips on interlocking profiles mechanically secure the vents to adjacent tiles for maximum wind uplift resistance.
Jon Pickering, Linx Homes' project manager for the programme, observed, "We are committed to bringing all our property in line with the Decent Homes Standard.
"We have taken care to ensure each home is insulated and ventilated properly.
Historically we have always used Glidevale ventilators and have never had any problems with them so see no reason to use anything else!".
