Urban regeneration specialist, Gleeson Regeneration and Homes, celebrated the opening of its new Merseyside office at Stanley Grange.

Gleeson Regeneration and Homes, celebrated the opening of its new Merseyside office with a launch party at the premises in Knowsley Village.

Guests included representatives of local residents from the areas in Liverpool where Gleeson is active, along with councillors, architects, engineers and other professional services involved in Gleeson's North Huyton and Toxteth based developments.

Gleeson Regeneration and Homes is part of the Revive consortium bringing approximately 1,450 new homes to North Huyton.

Working with Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council and Knowsley Housing Trust, the development is aimed at providing local residents with high quality affordable housing and ensuring this part of North Huyton will become a desirable place to live.

The first phase of Gleeson's Montreal Gardens development of new homes launched recently.

Having moved from a previous office in central Liverpool to be nearer long term development partners, Liverpool City Council and North Huyton New Deal for Communities, Gleeson believes the new premises will better serve a wider geographical area from Staffordshire up to the South Lakes where the company is actively pursuing land opportunities.

Brian Gowthorpe, Gleeson's Development Director, said: "Gleeson has carried out projects in Liverpool for many years and after three years in the Georgian Quarter our expansion has facilitated a move to larger offices".

"We are now more accessible for our northern staff in Sheffield and Bury and it was important to be close to one of our most important developments in North Huyton".

Gleeson's new offices are in the listed farm buildings at Stanley Grange, the home farm on Lord Derby's Knowsley Hall Estate which was converted to office space three years ago and is bordered by Knowsley Business Park.

Due to the expansion plans in Merseyside and beyond, Gleeson is currently recruiting a land buyer to bolster the land and development team in the Knowsley base.

Gowthorpe added: "This is a very important period in Gleeson's development".

"We are a lead developer in both the Revive scheme and the Liverpool City South Zone of the Housing Market Renewal Initiative".

"Now with larger, more strategically situated offices we are better placed to increase our business in a key operating region west of the M6 corridor.".
