Global Display Solutions Acquires CPG

CPG International Spa and Finmek Automation Srl, the multi-technology printing company, will be exhibiting at CeBIT 2007 in Hanover.

CPG International Spa and Finmek Automation Srl, the multi-technology printing company, will be exhibiting at CeBIT 2007, March 15 - 21, Hanover, on stand C19/1 in Hall 017.

CPG will be showcasing its new and improved range of Compuprint products throughout the show and will also be available on booth to discuss its recent business developments.

This will be the company's last exhibition as CPG International Spa and Finmek Automation Srl, following its recent acquisition by Global Display Solutions (GDS), the market leader in the design and manufacture of industrial display solutions.

Under the terms of the new acquisition, CPG International will become a subsidiary of GDS, to become known as Sferal WorldWide Technology srl.

The company will retain its staff and headquarters, reporting to GDS's headquarters in Cornedo Vicentino (Vicenza), Italy.

GDS's CEO Giovanni Cariolato will also become CEO of the new subsidiary GDS Sferal WWT.

Under the terms of the acquisition, the 410 CPG staff will transfer into Sferal between February 2007 and February 2009, with 110 employees moving initially during February 2007.

GDS Sferal WWT specialises in superior printing solutions for business and industrial markets, and will be exhibiting its product portfolio for all sectors of industry and commerce on stand C19/1 during CeBIT 2007, this will include its range of serial matrix, transactional and thermal printers.

Highlighted at the show will be the Compuprint printer range, including the Compuprint SP 40 for the banking market, the Compuprint 10200 for critical printing needs in harsh environments, and the Compuprint 6314, a fast and compact thermal printer with high resolution capacity.

Massimo Fontana, a key player in the project integrating Sferal WWT into the GDS Group comments, "Exhibiting at CeBIT will allow us to demonstrate to customers our wide range of products and solutions for a variety of markets and how the recent acquisition will help improve both our product range and services".

CeBIT is organised by Deutsche Messe, and is the world's largest fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions for the home and business environment.
