Gleeds enters US Top 10 Project Management league
Gleeds, the International Management and Construction Consultancy, has entered the United States league of top 10 project management firms based on fees for management services for the first time.
In the annual Engineering News Record (ENR) survey due to be published next month Gleeds is ranked 9th based upon fee income on a worldwide basis.
Richard Steer, Senior Partner at Gleeds praised the American operation and said, "The growth of our business worldwide has contributed to this recognition and has helped us develop a strong and growing reputation in North America".
Gleeds new ranking follows news of the award of a GBP50m contract to Project Manage the building of the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, Georgia.
The new facility will be a Comprehensive School housing all clinical and instructional functions.
In addition to dental clinics and other patient services, the program includes a simulation lab for undergraduate instruction, research laboratories for dental materials and oral pathology, and administrative faculty.
It will be the leading facility of its type in the USA.
British Born Chris Soffe, who is responsible for the Gleeds US operation said, "We have gradually been expanding the US operation over the last 10 years and are now at a stage where our hard work is being recognised".
"The Georgia School of Dentistry is just one of a series of projects we have been awarded in recent months and I am not surprised by our new ranking in the ENR league of Programme Management firms.
