Modern glazing ensures safety at ancient hall
In the interests of safety, ancient and modern have come together in a small but important way at Dragon Hall in Norwich, thanks to leading glass processor, Glass UK.
The glass is purely decorative, providing a backdrop behind which are a series of themed food outlets providing Cajun and Italian dishes, along with a number of others including traditional Fish 'n Chips.
What attracted the installation contractor to the GlassKote process was the clear, clean look once the colour was applied.
The bonding leaves no sign of any adhesives, which is something a number of Glass FX customers have noticed with other processes.
As companies use more and more coloured glass, they ae turning their backs on what has up until now been mainly back painted and then laminated.
The contractor at the racecourse agreed it had taken them a while to find something that works as well as Glass FX, but now they've seen the end-results, they're confident they'll be using it again.
Overall, including the design and engineering of the glazing support structure, installation by two 4-man teams took just three months.
Glass FX is a process of bonding colour coatings to glass, forming an impervious and durable finish that retains the original colour finish.
Its almost unlimited palette of colours, combined with its durability and the fact that it is waterproof makes Glass FX the ideal colour finish for both interior and exterior designs.
