Good Directions supplied a very special clock given as a gift to Her Majesty the Queen for the Sandringham Estate, owned by The House of Windsor.

Mr Malcolm Plumb was the Resident Engineer for the 250,000-acre Royal Estate in East Anglia and was personally awarded the Royal Victorian Medal for his 25 years of service When he retired he wished to mark the event by presenting Her Majesty with a 15" clock to be displayed prominently in the estate

'Working on the Sandringham Estate was one of the highlights of my career,' says Mr Plumb.

'It was like taking a step back in time where the pace of life had not changed from that of the 1950s.

I wanted to make a useful contribution to the site when I decided to retire.' The building chosen to display the clock is a 300 year old coach house that has been modernised into an all-purpose 150 foot long workshop for the many craftsmen employed by the estate, including carpenters, electricians and decorators.

The workforce is employed to maintain the 500 properties that house the community who commercially farm over 17,800 acres of the land.

'I saw the advert for Good Directions and called the company for a brochure,' explains Mr Plumb.

' I never mentioned what my enquiry was for, and the staff were extremely helpful and supportive.

When I placed my order, I needed it urgently within a fortnight and received the clock in under 7 days'.

Mr Plumb chose a Black Classic Clock made with gold leaf hands and Roman Numerals.

He presented the piece to Her Majesty the Queen in a private ceremony on the estate.
