The Gradus DDA PVC-u Hardnose profiles are the perfect solution for specifiers and contractors looking for stair edgings that offer suitable colour contrast or additional slip resistance.
55mm in dimension on both the tread and the riser, Gradus DDA profiles are available in a range of colours and have been designed with a unique front edge to offer superior slip resistance.
This is particularly relevant for stairs with a narrow going/tread, where additional grip is required on the leading edge of the step.

Gradus interiors give church the finishing touch
Range of carpets and stair edgings from Gradus has been specified for the new-look Harrow International Christian Centre (HICC) in Middlesex.
Four profiles are available in square and rake back designs to suit different types of floorcovering.
The RNC PVC-u stair edgings also incorporate the unique slip-resistant front edge feature but are designed with a 40mm riser to comply with recommendations by the JMU, one of the leading access consultative bodies.
JMU's best practice states that stair edgings should be 55mm on the tread and 30-50mm on the riser to allow flexibility with the height of the step.
The RNC profiles also come in a range of colours in order to offer a suitable colour contrast with the floorcovering.
The final addition is the ADM range of aluminium profiles.
Designed for specifiers who are looking for a more traditional finish, the ADM stair edgings are once again 55mm on both the tread and riser to comply with ADM guidelines.
Available in both square and rake back designs these profiles are suitable for use with both carpet and resilient floorcoverings.
Following the publication of the revised ADM guidelines, the government (Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) acknowledged that there may well be alternative ways of achieving compliance with the DDA requirements and that there is no obligation to adopt any particular solution contained in the ADM, if specifiers prefer to meet the relevant requirements in some other way.
The launch of the new Gradus stair edgings provides specifiers with the ultimate choice when selecting the most suitable stair edging for individual applications, taking into consideration building standards, safety, performance and aesthetics.
With over 35 years experience in the manufacture of stair edgings, Gradus offers the widest range of stair edgings available and can offer solutions for most applications.
