The high quality, impervious carpet was selected in Atlantic - a sea blue shade with a grey speckled pattern - and Bordeaux - a deep burgundy with a speckled grey pattern - to blend in with the overall colour scheme.
Ease of maintenance and protection from wear and tear was integral to the working brief, and as a result, Gradus InPro wall, corner and door protection systems were specified.
A selection of Corner Guards, Wall Guards and Handrails were selected to protect the interior surfaces and help reduce ongoing maintenance and repair costs.
With the high volume of pedestrian and wheeled traffic within Tiverton Community Hospital, wall protection was essential to maintain a clean, tidy and professional environment.
Specified in Wheat - a soft beige shade - both 154 and 134 High Impact Corner Guards and 700 Infinity Wallguards were specified for use on the ground and first floors.
The 1200 Handrail system in the striking blue shade of Lupin was also specified for the corridors to provide protection against damage, coupled with extra safety and support mechanisms for patients.
Aesthetics were also important for the consulting rooms, with BL1300 Bedhead protectors installed in Muslin, a pale sand shade, to protect equipment and walls from damage.
To protect interior flooring surfaces, Gradus Access Primary Entrance Matting was selected for several entrance areas and access points throughout the hospital.
In addition to significantly reducing the damage that would otherwise occur to adjoining flooring, the entrance matting also limits the risk of accidents.
The Matting removes the moisture and residual soil from foot and trolley traffic, preventing the floor from becoming wet and therefore avoiding potential slip hazards.
In addition, a range of complementary products from the Accessories offering were installed throughout the hospital including, Clip-Top Transition Strips, Aluminium stair Edgings and PVC Skirting.
The Gradus Portfolio concept offers a comprehensive range of interior finishes, including barrier matting systems, complementary flooring accessories, wall protection, lighting, contract carpet ranges and upholstery and soft furnishing fabrics, providing end users, designers and specifiers with a one-stop-shop for all their interior finishes requirements.
