Gradus Helps College Keep New Interiors Clean
Topguard, the heavy duty primary entrance matting, from Gradus, has been specified for St Pauls Catholic College, which needed a high performance entrance matting solution.
Interior designers, Ward Robinson, were tasked with managing the entire project from designing and specifying the bathrooms, choosing the finishes and furniture, to buying the ornaments.
For the colour scheme, the designers opted for a neutral backdrop interspaced with sharp, modern highlights in shades of striking oranges, shocking pinks and burgundies to complement the original oak panelling throughout the building.
In terms of carpets for the bedrooms, Ward Robinson had a very clear idea of what they wanted - a rose shaped motif standing out on a plain background.

Great Strands for Weston House
Gradus Fabrics have been fitted throughout Weston House, a new transitional care hotel at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
However, when it became obvious that a traditional woven carpet could not achieve enough definition, Gradus was able to offer the solution of a printed carpet.
Once Ward Robinson was presented with the bespoke samples from Gradus, which demonstrated the high performance qualities and striking aesthetics of the product, they specified the carpet for all 40 bedrooms.
The floorcovering was selected to coordinate with the overall colour scheme in a neutral, beige background with two colour options for the motif, a striking pink and subtle cream.
Similarly, for the dining room, a bespoke leaf and blossom design was created, using the same soft beige background colour as the bedrooms and incorporating the leaf and blossom design in black to provide an extremely dramatic and effective finish.
The bespoke printed carpet, created for Gradus by Anker offers the hotel a superb carpet solution, which is hard-wearing yet comfortable underfoot, as well as easy to maintain, reducing on-going maintenance and replacements costs for the hotel.
Commenting on the project, Jill Holst from Ward Robinson said: "We originally wanted a traditional woven carpet for this project but when I couldn't get the right definition from the design, I agreed to look at samples of the Anker range from Gradus and they were excellent, I'm now a total convert to printed carpets".
"As well as its high performance properties, the design looked fantastic so it was the ideal choice.".
