Gradus adds colours to wall protection
range
Gradus Wall Protection has introduced eleven new colours to its InPro wall protection range.
The broader choice for specifiers will help achieve suitable colour contrast in order to aid access around a building for visually impaired people to meet guidelines in Approved Document M, in line with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) The new colours, which include shades of blue, green, purple, orange, coral, honey and brown, are available from March 2007 and increase the total offer to 38, one of the largest ranges available in the marketplace

Wall protection is traditionally used in healthcare environments, where neutral colours are typically specified as products can have a lifecycle of up to 25 years.
These brighter colours have been introduced to broaden market appeal and enable specifiers, architects and designers to create designs that are particularly suitable for environments such as education, hospitality and leisure.
Furthermore, the new additions will help achieve appropriate levels of colour contrast in order to highlight handrails, doors and protruding elements such as corners and columns particularly important when considering the recommendations made in Approved Document M, BS8300:2001 and Health Building Note 40, in line with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).

Rachael Robertson, Product Manager for Gradus Wall Protection said: We are really excited to be able to broaden our colour offer for the InPro range.
Hospitals are the most established environment for wall protection products, where colours such as grey, cream and beige are specified in order to provide unobtrusive protection.
However, with colour contrast now being of greater importance in order to identify features such as handrails and doors in all buildings, these new, more vibrant colours enable specifiers to achieve suitable colour contrast in addition to creating design schemes which suit a wider range of environments.
The Gradus InPro system consists of a range of PVC-u products, including handrails, wall guards, corner guards, door frame guards and Sanparrel PVC-u sheet, to offer a comprehensive interior protection package.
The products help to improve the long term appearance of the interior environment and are through coloured and textured to conceal the effects of impact and abrasion.
Furthermore, with many products being modular in design, it means that they are quick and easy to install and replace if damage occurs.
A wide selection of Gradus InPro products is available in 10 Rapid Response colours on a 24 hour lead time, with Sanparrel PVC-u sheet being available on the Rapid Response programme in all 38 colours.
This versatile product can be used in sheet form for total wall protection, cut or formed into a variety of protection products or used to create bespoke wall designs, kickplates and rubrails.
