Gradus steps up the colour contrast

A Gradus Group product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Apr 16, 2007

Gradus Accessories has developed a new range of stair edging colours, in line with recommendations in The Building Regulations 2000.

Gradus Accessories has developed a new range of stair edging colours, in line with recommendations in The Building Regulations 2000 (Approved Document M OEAccess to and use of buildings') and BS8300:2001, to provide a comprehensive solution for specifiers and end users aiming to achieve colour contrast between edgings and surrounding floorcoverings.

The new colour range offered for stair edgings has been developed to provide a wide choice of colour contrast to all types of floorcovering, with matching colours available for both insert and channel.

All colours have been measured for light reflectance/colour contrast (Light Reflectance Value) and have been colour referenced to the Natural Colour System (NCS).

Five brand new colours have been introduced for both insert and channel including Ink (a very dark blue/black), Canvas (light beige), Veranda (pale olive green), Alpine (light blue) and Lavender (pale lilac).

As part of the colour update, several of the less popular colours in the stair edging range are being discontinued at the end of the year.

Full information on the new colour range for stair edgings is detailed in a leaflet available from Gradus.
