Gradus Stair Edgings Follow ADM Guidelines
Gradus has launched a range of new stair edgings to meet the guidelines published in the Building Regulations Approved Document M (ADM).
Gradus XT stair edgings were fitted onto the office's main four-storey staircase, providing improved safety by reducing the risk of slips, trips and falls.
In line with Approved Document M (ADM) of The Building Regulations 2000, Steel (grey) inserts were used to provide visible contrast with the dark blue floorcovering, helping to define the step edge and contributing toward the creation of an inclusive environment, as set out in the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
Supported by the latest recommendations from BRE, the XT range comprises aluminium channels and slip resistant inserts that extend around the leading edge of the stair edging, maximising safety underfoot by ensuring optimum foot contact with the slip-resistant element of the stair edging.
