Gradus antibacterial fabrics for
Nuffield Hospital
Antibacterial fabrics and contemporary designs from Gradus' Serenity collection are helping to create a clean, modern and welcoming environment within Cambridge's Nuffield Hospital.
Part of a two-year, GBP18million investment programme, the refurbishment project will see a full upgrade of all operating theatres, plus installation of state-of-the-art MRI and CT scanners, as well as improvements in all public and patient areas The Brooklyn design printed on X-Static anti-bacterial base cloth was chosen for curtains throughout the new ward, aiding infection control and providing an attractive environment, conducive to patient wellbeing

The X-Static base cloth and attractive Serenity design meant we didn't have to compromise on either.
"Thanks to the experience Gradus has not only within the healthcare market but with Nuffield Hospitals nationwide, we felt confident in specifying wall protection and flooring, as well as their fabrics.
Having consulted all levels of staff, we had a vision of the look and quality we wanted to achieve and Gradus were able to advise us on the best products for achieving that goal".
Gradus Group Marketing Manager Lynette Bowden comments: "Having worked with Nuffield Hospitals for nearly 20 years, we were well placed to advise them on this large and exciting refurbishment project.
The hotel-like style of the Serenity fabrics range combined with the hygienic properties of the base cloth makes it an ideal choice for healthcare applications such as this".
In addition to fabrics, Gradus also supplied loose lay vinyl flooring and a comprehensive wall protection system for installation throughout the Oncology Unit.
The Serenity fabrics range includes three further print designs - Madison is a classic pin stripe, Hudson is a broad regency stripe, whilst Manhattan is a distinctive barcode stripe.
