Eco window choices Green Building Store's three window ranges - Ecoplus, Ecoclad and the new Ecocontract - all use FSC certified timber and have ultra-low U values as standard.
However, with the additional eco-options, specifiers now have a wider range of choices.
* Timber choices include: FSC 100% redwood, FSC 100% oak and the new FSC Mixed Accoya.
* Glazing can be: double or triple, with solar gain/ solar control glazing options, and with or without 'warm edge' spacers.
* Whole window U values can range from 1.6W/m2K to 0.9 W/m2K.
* Treatments and finishes can include boron treatments and natural oil-based finishes or the Remmers water-based system.
* Aluminium cladding or Accoya timber offer low maintenance options for projects where maintenance is an issue.
* Styles offered include: inward/ outward opening, sash windows, flush profile etc.
* Specifiers can even choose between the UK manufactured windows or the Northern European imported range.
Sustainable window specialists Green Building Store has been at the cutting edge of environmental window design since 1995, when it pioneered the use of boron timber treatments in window manufacture.
In 2004 it introduced the first UK manufactured FSC 100% timber windows and in 2007 it launched the first FSC 100% timber/ aluminium composite windows in the UK.
