Structural Waterproofing - The Essential Guide
Grace Construction Products has produced "Structural Waterproofing - The Essential Guide" as a completely user-friendly alternative to face-to-face technical consultation.
New CD from Grace destined for Number 1 in construction industry charts One of the construction industry's most highly regarded suppliers has created a fully interactive CD-Rom to help guide architects, builders and civil engineers through the complicated world of structural waterproofing.
Grace Construction Products has produced "Structural Waterproofing - The Essential Guide" as a completely user-friendly alternative to face-to-face technical consultation.
The CD-Rom allows users to identify specific recommended product ranges for specific waterproofing tasks.
A variety of links then allow the user to view pictures of the products in both their raw form and in application, see data sheets and approved certifications, and even watch videos of how to apply the products.
One of the most impressive aspects of the guide enables the user to point their mouse to a particular part of a structure on a colour graphic - anything from lift pits and basements to roofs and bridges - and receive advice on the best waterproofing product to use for that application.
Kevin O'Gorman, European marketing manager - building materials - for Grace, said: "Choosing the right products for a waterproofing job can be a minefield for many people.
It is such an important aspect of a project, however small, yet there are so many potential variables to consider.
"This CD-Rom makes that decision process so much easier.
With so many options available, from membranes and water-stops to integrally waterproof concrete admixtures, our aim has been to allow specifiers to make an educated choice and fit the correct system with the right application.
And Grace is ideally placed to share this technical expertise, as we are the only company in the market that can boast to having a fully comprehensive range of products available for all forms of construction.
The CD-Rom, which is now available from Grace Customer Services, in Slough, or via the Grace website, also contains information on Grace's other services and specialities, from architectural concrete admixtures to synthetic fibre reinforcement, as well as a host of information about the company itself.
There is also an excerpt from "The Underground House", an episode of Channel 4's Grand Designs programme focusing on the use of Grace waterproofing products in a domestic property that was built entirely underground.
