Technology breakthrough for multi-point locks
Multi-point locking industry is set to take a major leap into the 21st century with launch of new remote control operated product - G-U Secury Automatic with A-opener.
Rob Rossall, sales manger, said: "The fact that G-U has committed resources to the re-tooling and creation of this shoot bolt should give fabricators extra confidence in a product many market-analysts prematurely claimed had no future".
"Recently, many fabricators have actually gone back to using shoot bolts due to their ease of use and acceptability in the marketplace".
"In fact with just under seven million shoot bolts being fitted in the UK each year, we firmly believe that the product still has a shelf life ahead of it, with the product will be being used for many years to come." The new shoot bolt is sold secure tested and approved, and has achieved PAS 011 (BS 7950).
The product also carries BBA 1956 accreditation, an essential prerequisite when dealing with house builders.
Complete flexibility is assured with 20 and 22mm back sets in both full depth eurogroove and shallow eurogoove option gearboxes.
A choice of 7.7mm and 9mm height cams completes the package.
Mushroom cams are 1mm adjustable, and pre set in mounting position for ease of installation both on-site and in the factory.
As with most of G-U products the casement programme is sold secure tested and approved, which is one of the reasons why GU/FERCO products benefit from the company's unique free five year warranty.
This provides the ultimate peace of mind to fabricators when they sign up to the GU sold secure approved installer scheme.
