Technology breakthrough for multi-point locks
Multi-point locking industry is set to take a major leap into the 21st century with launch of new remote control operated product - G-U Secury Automatic with A-opener.
Equipped with multiple security measures that help safeguard against criminal techniques as bumping, picking and snapping, G-U is confident this range will be a hit with customers.
Stephanie Wright, marketing manager of Gretsch-Unitas, said: "We are hearing more and more about instances of security breaches where criminals are using innovative techniques to gain entry to a property.
Our Janus cylinders have been specifically designed and tested to ensure that they are not only 'fit for purpose' by today's standards, but they will continue to meet the needs of our customers in coming years." Twenty individual multi-directional tumbler pins are located around the circumference of the cylinder.

G-U launches definitive catalogue
Gretsch-Unitas has now launched its new product catalogue, which is set to become the 'bible' for multi-point door locks.
These pins prevent cylinder bumping, since their comprehensive alignment needs to be exact in order to gain entry - an impossible achievement without the correct key.
And it's not just any key.
The inclusion of a set of master keys uniquely cut for the property adds an extra protection measure, again offering complete security assurance.
A steel reinforcing bar runs through the cylinders to strengthen their performance whilst a second steel bar positioned between the front and back of the cylinder also makes them anti drill.
The launch of G-U's Janus range is an impressive compliment to its wide-ranging series 31 anti-bump BKS cylinders.
Offering a considerable variety of articles and functions through its basic 5 and 6 pin applications, G-U has consistently been one step ahead of its competition when it comes to offering secure locking solutions.
Stephanie adds: "G-U already boasts an array of cylinders including half, double, rim and thumb, each offering varying degrees of security levels and the option of master keys.
However, this year we are developing our cylinder business to make it more comprehensive than ever before.
"We are committed to bringing products to market that not only offer superior quality and efficiency, but that also completely impede criminals.".
