Thinc Projects engaged on Stratford City Project

A Thinc Projects product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jul 9, 2008

Thinc Projects Limited has been engaged to undertake the project management of the design phase of the one of the largest mixed-use developments in the UK.

Stratford City is the most ambitious development within the M25.

It will result in one of the largest mixed-use developments in the UK for many years to come.

Covering 73 hectares of largely derelict land, the next 15 years will see the creation of a new GBP4bn metropolitan centre in East London, with more than 100 shops, three large department stores, cafes, schools, hotels, parks and health centres.

Due to the sheer scale and complexity of the Stratford City retail project, Thinc Projects Limited has been engaged to undertake the project management of the design phase of the project.

Thinc are working with the Buchan Group International (BGI) design team; their engagement is to assist the BGI team on the retail and leisure component with a focus on the design process - this involves development and management of the systems and processes required to implement the design of the project, and to liaise with the client, Westfield, to manage its requirements and the flow of information between Westfield and the design team.
