HBXL launches apprentice scheme for builders
HBXL, has launched its Software Apprentice Scheme to help apprentices gain experience, learn skills and make them more attractive to potential employers.
The HBXL Software Apprentice Scheme will enable apprentices learn business skills such as estimating, project management, the production of plans and designs and health and safety paperwork.
An will be able to apply for a three-month licence for any of HBXL's core software packages for free, on behalf of a company when an employer takes them on.
this includes free online tuition to get them started.
This offer includes HBXL's EstimatorXpress estimating software, PlansXpress, the CAD-based design package to produce building plans and Health and Safety Xpert which helps produce health and safety paperwork.
Despite the fact that 9,000 builders use HBXL software to generate new business and reduce costs, there are still many that prefer to pay someone else to do estimates, designs or health and safety paperwork.
Some builders are apprehensive in adopting new IT skills so the HBXL Software Apprentice Programme represents a great way not only for apprentices to provide a benefit for the company they are working and for building firms to see for themselves the value of using the software.
After the three-month free license for the Apprentice, if the building company chooses to purchase the software, builders can buy the software of choice with a 15 per cent discount and will get a free second copy for the apprentice while they are employed by that builder.
Any company which has an apprentice registered with CAS (Construction Apprenticeships Scheme) may take on the software for a three-month apprentice license by proving their status by emailing HBXL their Construction Apprenticeships Scheme number.
