Leeds-based Hewlett is celebrating after scooping its first civil engineering contract with national housebuilder, Barratt Homes.
Leeds-based Hewlett is celebrating after scooping its first civil engineering contract with national housebuilder, Barratt Homes Assisting Barratt at two of the housebuilders latest residential schemes in Selby, Hewlett's £3.2million contract includes piling, foundations, road works and sewers infrastructure plus site remediation and basement construction for underground parking
"We have had to overcome a number of challenges regarding site remediation," comments Lee Ferreday, Hewlett Contracts Manager.
"Previously a joinery works and rail sidings there was large volumes of waste that needed to be removed prior to any building work commencing".
"After running the levels through our ground-modelling programme, we were able to reclaim the material for use in road foundations and levels.".
