Marking one of the company's biggest ever investment strategies, Hewlett Civil Engineering has invested over 1/2million GBP in new plant machinery and commercial vehicles to support its continuing geographical expansion This latest order for Volkswagen includes 15 Caddy Vans and certainly meets with the approval of Hewlett drivers, who all agree that the vans 'are comfortable to drive and practical with a very responsive engine that returns excellent fuel consumption'

Hewlett operates a policy of renewing their machinery and fleet every few years.

Says Andy Preston, Plant Director at Hewlett: "All our commercial vehicles and plant machinery are subject to thorough safety inspections and regular planned maintenance by our in-house team of fully-qualified service engineers".

Andy goes on to explain that "by continuing to invest in and extend our fleet and plant equipment, we are able to offer the best quality service".

"It is important to have long-term stability in today's competitive market place, and as a forward thinking company, we invest more in plant and commercial vehicles as a percentage of our turnover than many other national companies".

This deal with Volkswagen reinforces the message that Hewlett only supplies and uses the very best and safest equipment.

"We have run Volkswagen vans for over several years and have seen a consistent progression of quality and reliability".

"In our business it's essential to have a reliable fleet.".
