Hewlett lay road to job opportunities
Hewlett Civil Engineering has just started work at a two new high quality business parks in Yorkshire, providing 800 and 1200 jobs.
Leeds-based Hewlett Civil Engineering has just started work at a two new high quality business parks in Yorkshire.
* Capitol Park in Tingley, which is being developed by Yorkshire based Property developers, Sterling Capitol will provide high quality business accommodation for expanding local firms and potential inward investors into the area.
It is aimed at encouraging provision of good quality job opportunities for local people.
* Contract Value: £1.07m * Timing: September 2006 to April 2007.
* Contract scope: The bulk excavation and infrastructure contract includes road works, drainage and cable diversion.
Upon completion the scheme will offer a classic mixed-use development featuring quality office and industrial space, plus provision for a 250-carpark.
* St James' business park, Knaresborough is a phased development of 27 hectares comprising of retail, and office accommodation adjacent to the A59 trunk road in North Yorkshire.
* Contract value: £1.2m.
* Timing: September 2006 to February 2007.
* Contract scope: extending existing road plus drainage and services.
It has been estimated that both business parks will have the capacity to accommodate between 800 and 1200 jobs.
