Hewlett new contracts strengthen its
rail position

Another first for Hewlett
Hewlett is celebrating another first after being nominated as approved contractor for package of works at Sterling Capitol's latest business park development in Barnsley.
The team will be led by industry expert Ken Jones, who has been promoted to Contract Manager and has many years experience of the challenges of the railway having worked on numerous major projects throughout the country.

Projects are often complex, major in scale, require access to an existing infrastructure and they need the highest standards of professionalism.
With the formation of Hewlett Rail we are able to dedicate support to the industry to enable rail companies to meet these challenges".

By combining our capabilities and consolidating our rail experience we will give added clarity to the pursuit of rail work and support for clients.

Hewlett Rail has already secured valuable experience working alongside Galliford Try and Kier Rail and is has recently been contracted by Birse Rail at the GBP25.5m East Midlands Parkway project - the scope of work includes site clearance and de-vegetation, concrete protection works, embankment widening and drainage to a brand new major mainline station new line.
Primarily funded by Network Rail with a contribution of almost GBP1 million from East Midlands Development Agency, East Midlands Parkways will provide a planned railway station that will eventually serve East Midlands Airport and provide park and ride facilities for commuters.
