Mike Flynn, managing director of H+H Celcon marks the official opening of H+H Celcon's GBP500k new Scottish depot at Uddingston, near Glasgow.

Mike Flynn pointed out that H+H Celcon's GBP500k investment in Scotland, including the purchase of the site, demonstrates the company's commitment to Scotland and its goal to expand the market for aircrete products It follows the opening in 2003 of H+H Celcon's fourth factory at Pollington, in Yorkshire, making the Yorkshire plant the group's largest worldwide

The 10,000 sq m Scottish depot stocks a comprehensive range of walling, flooring and foundation blocks as well as quick-setting mortar for use with the Thin-Joint system.

Stock is now on the ground for immediate collection to support the Scottish construction market.

It enables H+H Celcon to provide a more efficient and flexible service to its growing list of Scottish customers.

Sales of aircrete have been growing fast.

More and more builders are finding that H+H Celcon's range of aircrete blocks provides cost effective solutions for walls, foundations and beam and block floors with high levels of both thermal and sound insulation.

Additionally, using thin-layer technology, aircrete can match the speed of framed construction and offers high levels of insulation while providing the solidity of masonry construction which so many customers prefer.

Situated at 90 Bellshill Road, Uddingston, Glasgow, G71 7NT, the depot is strategically positioned between Glasgow and Edinburgh and allows easy access from the M74 from junction 5.
