Buildtec South West of Exeter has been appointed a Recommended Contractor for H+H Celcon's Ra House and joins a growing team of specialist contractors across the UK able to offer this new concept in quick and efficient masonry construction Ra House, which uses teams of expert installers to quickly and efficiently build the complete airtight, weatherproof, high quality masonry shell of a house, was launched by H+H Celcon last autumn in response to the growing demand for Modern Methods of Construction

Ian Smith and Adrian Bond established Buildtec in Exeter in 1995 to provide a brickwork contracting and general building service to customers in the south and south west of England and the Midlands.
The company already has its first Ra House project under way in Bideford, North Devon where Buildtec is building the masonry shells for a development of four bungalows at Lenwood Country Club.
Other projects using the system are in the pipeline.
Commenting on his company's appointment at the formal contract signing last week Buildtec director Ian Smith said: "Having worked in Germany where the use of aircrete with thin-layer mortar is so popular, I was very enthusiastic about us becoming a Ra House contractor".
